We are looking for an organized, sharp-eyed Expeditor to join our Back of House team in D.C. About the Role The Expeditor is the link between the kitchen and the dining room. You make sure every plate leaves the pass correct, complete, on time, and up to La Grande Boucherie's standards. This role suits someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and takes pride in the details. Responsibilities Manage the flow of tickets and orders from the kitchen to the dining room during service Check every plate for accuracy, presentation, portioning, and temperature before it leaves the pass Communicate clearly with line cooks, chefs, servers, and runners to keep timing coordinated across tables Track allergies, modifications, and special requests and confirm they are carried out correctly Coordinate course timing and fire orders as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef Keep the pass clean, stocked, and organized throughout service Flag quality issues, delays, or shortages to kitchen leadership right away Support food running and other BOH tasks as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards Help with opening and closing duties Qualifications Previous experience as an expeditor, food runner, line cook, or in a similar high-volume restaurant role preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and a strong sense of plate presentation Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure Team-first attitude and willingness to take direction Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Food Handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) The Group Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
