Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Infusion Scheduling Coordinator to join our Hematology & Oncology Infusion Clinic. This position is responsible for coordinating infusion appointments, working closely with authorization department and nursing staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is committed to providing exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hydration, injections, and other infusion appointments. Communicate with providers, infusion nurses, and other departments to ensure treatment plans are scheduled appropriately. Verify treatment orders, appointment availability, and scheduling requirements prior to booking patients. Utilize computerized scheduling systems and maintain accurate patient records. Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general appointment inquiries. Coordinate schedule changes and communicate updates promptly to patients and clinical staff. Maintain accurate documentation and assist with ensuring scheduling aligns with provider orders. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism. Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support clinic operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a hematology/oncology, infusion center, or medical office setting is strongly preferred. Experience coordinating infusion or specialty treatment schedules is highly desirable. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), computerized scheduling systems, and multi-line phone systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
