Marissa Collections is seeking a passionate and experienced Jewelry Operations Assistant. Under direction from the Naples Jewelry Operations Manager and the Palm Beach management team, this position is responsible for supporting all operational functions of the Jewelry Department, including but not limited to processing new merchandise, returns to vendor, repairs, organizing, shipping of trunk shows and inventory maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
INVENTORY
Enter purchase orders into Retail Pro as assigned Understand the consignment process Organize, receive, and verify all jewelry in accordance with company standards Reconcile all PO discrepancies with the buying team Ensure all merchandise is received in Retail Pro Retrieve and process all merchandise to be returned to the vendor in accordance with company standards (properly pack merchandise, submit paperwork, retrieve a tracking number for all outbound shipments) Re-ticket merchandise as needed Run sales reports as needed Assist in physical inventory Research inventory discrepancies
REPAIRS:
Assist in transport and deliver jewelry to local repair shop as needed. Pick up when completed.
SHIPPING
Manage all fine jewelry shipment processes, incoming and outgoing Safely and appropriately ship all fine jewelry as needed Understand insurance levels and coverage for all jewelry shipments Understand high value shipments and utilize process as needed Understand armored guard shipment process and utilize as needed Send insured shipping labels to vendors and clients as requested Manage organization of jewelry shipping room Order shipping supplies as needed
TRUNK SHOWS
Manage all trunk show receiving Requests line sheets or all incoming trunk shows Understand insurance coverage as applicable Receive all merchandise for trunk shows and verify the number and condition of the pieces against the packing list Organize and secure trunk show goods prior to show Assist store in trunk show set-up Organize, reconcile, and return ship all trunk shows goods Communicate any discrepancies with vendor and research reason Organize, pack and ship trunk show merchandise as directed Communicate with vendor return shipment process and tracking numbers
ORGANIZATION
Ensure the department is stocked with appropriate supplies Monitor and organize back up supplies for the department Communicate additional supply needs to Operations Manager Communicate all packaging requests Organize and communicate needs for vendor nameplates
STORE ASSISTANCE
Assist in daily set up of jewelry in store Ensure case counts are completed and all discrepancies are reconciled Assist in store events as needed (includes off site, evenings and weekends) Assist Selling Manager and stylists on the selling floor as needed Assist in cleaning client jewelry as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Complete and pass assigned GIA coursework Equivalent Experince and/or college coursework or degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field preferred 2-3 years of experience in luxury retail, jewelry, fashion, or a related high-end customer service environment. Stay up to date on current jewelry climate Stay up to date on current vendors Marissa Collections is an EOE and participates in the Federal E-Verify System.
