$1,780.37 Bi-weekly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee's current rate, whichever is higher.)

DESCRIPTION:
This position is located in North Regional Detention Services and provides Detention Facility liaison services for assigned facilities and headquarters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the general services and facility related maintenance services of all Detention facilities in the North Region. Monitor and recommend necessary maintenance, including suggesting appropriate vendors, monitors purchases, lease actions, telecommunication needs, vehicle upkeep and records for compliance with Florida Statutes, regional and departmental policies and procedures. Provides technical assistance regarding general services related activities. Maintains and analyzes general services records to include, but not limited to, lease documents, vehicle documents and telecommunication service authorization. Serves as the safety liaison and assists with identifying safety problems. Analyze safety-related information and makes appropriate recommendations to remedy problems. Maintains accurate accountability of property. Formulates, reviews and evaluates policies and procedures and makes recommendations to regional management. Reviews administrative policies and procedures to be implemented and makes appropriate recommendations. Interprets policies and manuals to ensure compliance with state and departmental regulations, manuals regarding general services activities to include: Fleet Administration, Telecommunications, Property, Records Management, Leasing, School Lunch Program and Energy Consumption . Completes special projects as assigned. Compiles analytical data as required. Performs on-site analysis of operational problems; serve on teams to establish optimum resolution and implements corrective action. Works with the facilities to establish annual regional goals. Reviews general services policy and procedures to evaluate impact and identify potential problems and implements solutions to identified problems encountered. Coordinates property activities, vehicle, leases, telecommunications and records activity through monthly visits to each site. Interprets policies and manuals to ensure compliance with state and departmental regulations, manuals regarding general services activities to include: Fleet Administration, Telecommunications, Property, Records Management, Leasing, School Lunch Program and Energy Consumption. Reviews general services policy and procedures to evaluate impact and identify potential problems and implements solutions to identified problems encountered in meeting the facility manager's goals. Participate in the evaluation of proposals and bids for food services and related areas for assigned facilities. Identify food service related training needs and assist in the USDA National School Lunch and Breakfast and USDA Commodity Programs training at regional state operated sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
: Knowledge of basic management principles and practices; knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis. Ability to coordinate a consultative program designed to ensure the resolution of managerial and operational problems. Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to assess budgetary needs; ability to formulate policies and procedures. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in Detention Services Facilities.
SPECIAL NOTES
All prospective candidates will be subject to a sex offender check, criminal background checks (state, local, and national) and pre-employment drug screening for direct care positions. DJJ participates in E-Verify (Employment Eligibility). When identified on a position description, a valid driver's license is required. If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver's license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
