Job Description
Storm Strong Roofing is growing and looking for a dependable Roofing Field Operations Assistant to help manage the day-to-day field side of our roofing projects. This is not primarily a roofing labor position . We're looking for someone who has some roofing or construction knowledge, communicates well, stays organized, and wants an opportunity to grow into roofing production, field operations, or service work. You'll work directly with our team, homeowners, subcontractor crews, and suppliers to help make sure every project runs smoothly from installation through final cleanup. Responsibilities Visit and monitor active roofing projects Coordinate with roofing subcontractor crews Communicate professionally with homeowners during installations Monitor jobsite cleanliness and property protection Take progress, decking, installation, and completion photos Identify and communicate punch-list items Make sure crews properly clean jobsites before leaving Pick up short or missing materials when necessary Help coordinate leftover material returns Verify materials and roofing products against job scope Assist with service calls and roofing repairs Learn to perform approved basic roofing repairs as experience develops Communicate field issues to management before they become larger problems Help ensure every Storm Strong project is properly closed out What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Strong communication skills Organized and able to follow through without constant supervision Comfortable communicating with homeowners Comfortable respectfully holding subcontractor crews accountable Basic roofing or construction knowledge preferred Roofing experience is a plus, but you do not need to be a master roofer Willing and able to learn roofing systems and repair techniques Comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions Comfortable working around ladders and roofs and accessing roofs after proper training Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Able to safely perform the physical requirements of field construction work Interested in growing with a smaller roofing company and taking on greater responsibility Who This Position Is Best For This is a good opportunity for someone who has worked around roofing or construction and wants to move beyond being just another laborer. You may already understand basic roofing materials and installation but want to learn more about: Roofing production Jobsite management Customer communication Material coordination Roof inspections Leak troubleshooting Roofing repairs Service work We care just as much about reliability, communication, judgment, and work ethic as we do years of roofing experience. Growth Opportunity Our goal is to develop the right person through: Roofing Field Operations Assistant → Field Operations Coordinator → Roofing Service Technician / Production Management As your roofing knowledge, independence, and responsibilities grow, there will be opportunities for increased compensation and hours. What Success Looks Like A successful person in this role makes sure: Homeowners know what's happening Crews understand what's expected Properties remain protected Jobsites are clean Materials are accounted for Project photos are completed Punch-list items don't get forgotten Problems are communicated quickly Jobs are professionally closed out Compensation $18-$20/hour depending on roofing/construction experience and capability. Approximately 25-30 hours per week to start , with the opportunity for additional hours and advancement as the role develops. Paid training provided.
