Development and Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Concrete Jungle (CJ) forages, farms, and supports food access across Georgia. To achieve that mission, our team harvests and distributes excess produce from fruit trees and farms, grows food from our own farm, and provides nutrition education resources. We envision a future where all communities are well nourished in a world with no food waste. As of December 2025, Concrete Jungle has distributed over 4.1 million pounds of fresh, nutritious food. Position Overview Concrete Jungle seeks a Development and Operations Coordinator who will provide essential support for the non-programmatic work that keeps the organization running. For this role, we need someone who is passionate about systems and project management; ruthlessly committed to fine details and organization; and enjoys the creativity required to engage different stakeholders across different platforms and mediums. In this role, your work will focus on providing support to Concrete Jungle's development and operations teams, gaining valuable exposure to the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. Through this opportunity, you will learn about the unique challenges and rewards of working in the nonprofit sector while working with a small enthusiastic team on important public health work.
Primary responsibilities include:
Development Support the development team with data and donor relations management. Support donation processing, updating information in our development database and sending donor acknowledgements. Utilize CJ's development database, Network for Good, to complete daily development tasks and maintain accurate documentation of funding history and donor activity Maintain thorough donor records with all research and correspondence captured in Network for Good Identify relevant donor data (first-time gift, increased or decreased giving, etc.) for the Development team as opportunities to engage with donors Conduct routine data clean up and database process improvements Research and recommend prospects for local, state, and national corporate and foundations whose giving priorities align with Concrete Jungle's mission Contribute to grant requests, collaborating on larger grants and independently drafting simpler proposals using existing grant repository language Collaborate on developing donor communications and executing solicitation campaigns. Engage with the Development Committee, attending meetings and providing support on committee projects Provide event logistics and communication support for donor cultivation events Operations Front desk communications Assist the Director of Operations with financial management Categorizing monthly expenses Updating program budgets Data management Collect data from multiple teams and enter it into our database with accuracy and consistency Assist with updating program impacts Support the build out of interfaces in our database for better reporting Maintain and ensure accuracy of physical and digital organization records Coordinate logistics for board meetings, staff meetings, socials, birthdays, and other team gatherings Assist with research, implementation and documenting processes to help improve team efficiency Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities Demonstrated initiative and self-directed approach to work Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail Proficient writing skills (i.e. excellent grammar skills; ability to change writing style and voice for different channels and purposes) Demonstrated experience in data management systems (experience in Airtable preferred) Familiarity with financial management Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours Enthusiastic and positive personality despite adversity in the hard task of changing a complicated food system Physical ability to lift 40 pounds without strain Preferred candidates will also have: Experience in one or more of these fields: Fundraising Nonprofit administration Communications Familiarity with any of the following tools: Airtable, Google Suite, Network for
Good, Slack, Quickbooks Online Compensation & Benefits Annual Salary:
