Description:
Position Summary Develop expertise for all daily data and item processing operations. A specialist will perform various activities that include, but are not limited to, balancing of transactions/data/items, power encoding, and day-end/year-end activities. An Operational Specialist also understands the underlying purpose, function, and inter-relation for all processes. Possess problem solving abilities as well as process improvement abilities. Responsible to support the bank's strategic objectives by performing duties to the highest of standards set forth by management. Responsibilities Develop knowledge of CUSB Bank's customer service procedures to ensure they are met to the highest standard consistently. This includes telephone inquires on a variety of customer account questions and contacting customer with processing questions as well as assisting with disputed transactions. At all times maintain confidentiality of customer account information. Work to ensure accuracy and trouble shoot any issues with daily transaction items, day-end processing, online overdraft processing. Perform daily balancing and reconciliations. Create statement files and organize and maintaining of daily bulk filing of checks for check retrieval. Assist bank personnel, customers and other banks research and find solutions to errors. Prepare mail notices and correspondence related to the maintenance of customer accounts. Initiate and receive electronic files including wires, memo posting, cash management files, accounts payable, and ATM duties. Assist with troubleshooting software/hardware issues.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to operate the following equipment: PC and printer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook. Develop math skills as required to this position which includes adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
