Actively Hiring! | Field Scheduler | Cedar Rapids, IA | Apply Now! Job Description The Field Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and deploying skilled labor and equipment to industrial construction job sites to meet project demands. This role serves as the primary liaison between various stakeholders to ensure the right people, trucks, and documentation are in place at the right time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, and comfortable managing logistics in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and deploy skilled labor and equipment to industrial construction job sites. Serve as the primary liaison between union business agents, field crews, and internal operations. Ensure timely and accurate placement of personnel, trucks, and documentation. Focus on manpower planning and field coordination. Maintain strong communication with various stakeholders to keep all moving parts aligned. Essential Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Highly personable and professional; comfortable building relationships over the phone and via email. Experience in logistics, dispatching, scheduling, staffing, or coordination roles is strongly preferred. Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-moving industrial construction environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Additional Skills & Qualifications Backgrounds with heavy phone coordination (e.g., logistics, trucking, staffing, hospitality scheduling, dispatch) translate well to this role. Willingness and ability to learn union processes, industrial construction workflows, and internal systems. High attention to detail. Work Environment This office-based role involves frequent communication supporting active industrial construction sites. The majority of the workday is spent coordinating by phone in a deadline-driven environment where schedules may change daily. There is regular interaction with union representatives, field crews, and operations leadership. The work environment is family-friendly, offering flexibility and autonomy in managing time. Profit sharing and tuition reimbursement are available Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
