Job Description

OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Lanehaven Farms is a progressive seed corn, commercial grain, organic grain and hog farm based in Northeast Iowa. The farm has been early adopters of leading-edge technologies that improve the efficiency, quality, and overall effectiveness of processes. Core values characterize how the farm lives and conducts business daily. We are hiring an Operations Specialist . In this role, you'll have a variety of responsibilities providing operational support to the Lanehaven Farms organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Farm assistant for a variety of farm work including:
  • Operate equipment and assist with field work.
  • Assist with farm and shop projects.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance projects.
  • Assist in keeping all farm facilities and yards clean and organized.
  • Assist in keeping all vehicles and machines clean inside and out.
  • Assist with operating feed mill and deliver feed in an efficient and safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Agriculture experience, including operating farm equipment preferred
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass vehicle insurance verification.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Private pesticide applicators license or the ability to get one.
  • Attentive to detail, self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision
  • Plans thoroughly, problem solves and makes sound decisions
  • Honest, trustworthy, and passionate
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Listens to others and builds relationships to foster teamwork
  • Thirst for knowledge!

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
