Opportunity OverviewPosition DetailInformationJob TitleProduction SchedulerLocationWest Liberty, IowaShift1stAnnual Salary Range$64,729 - $85,000 depending on experienceShift PremiumNoneJob SummaryThe Production Scheduler is responsible for ensuring maximum plant utilization through efficient production scheduling, inventory management and shelf life management. Positions are held for both raw and cooked facilities to coordinate the flow of materials and finished goods between plants and/or departments according to production constraints/variability, shipping constraints/variability, and/or customer priorities. Responsibilities also include requisitioning materials, entering work orders for production to complete the schedules requested and plant assignments.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop production schedules.

Review and analyze and adjust current production plans and change as necessary to fulfill external and internal customer requirements taking into account operational constraints such as material availability, labor capacity and department constraints.

Create future production plans by forecasting customer needs outside of firmed order placement timeframes.

Requisition materials according to production schedules taking into account customer lead times, shipping constraints, and warehouse availability.

Adjust raw material requisitions as production plans change and/or changes occur in the process.

Communicate daily and weekly production priorities and schedule changes.

Recommend continuous improvement to scheduling process and production flow.

Other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsExperience:
At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a scheduling role.
Skills:
Ability to problem solve. Must be able to work with other departments and follow all food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements. Must have computer skills to communicate and process data.
Age:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
Flexibility & Mindset:
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Candidates should bring a continuous improvement state of mind, adaptability to daily changes, and a collaborative approach to establishing harmonious working relationships.
Compliance:
Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
