Ophthalmology Surgical Scheduler Northwest Eye Physicians - Arlington Heights, IL Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $22-$24/hour Northwest Eye Physicians is seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Surgical Scheduler to join our busy, patient-focused practice in Arlington Heights. For more than 50 years, our physicians and staff have been committed to providing excellent eye care to our community. Our practice also features an on-site surgical suite for office-based cataract surgery , making this an exciting opportunity for someone with ophthalmology surgical scheduling experience who enjoys working closely with patients throughout their surgical journey. Responsibilities Meet with patients following cataract and other surgical consultations to coordinate and schedule procedures Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to scheduled procedures Review and collect patient payments and discuss available financing options Answer patient questions and provide follow-up throughout the scheduling process Maintain accurate physician surgical schedules Ensure postoperative appointments are scheduled appropriately Coordinate with the surgery center manager and clinical team to provide a smooth, positive patient experience Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to surgical scheduling Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: 1-3 years of ophthalmology surgical scheduling experience Strong attendance and reliability Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills A professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy medical practice Willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team Previous ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred.
