Job Summary Auto Island is looking for a dependable, motivated, hands-on Automotive Lot Operations Associate to help with the day-to-day operation of the car lot. This is not a position where you will have one narrow set of responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is willing to jump in wherever needed, take pride in keeping the dealership looking its best, and help make sure vehicles, inventory, the lot, and the building are ready for customers every day. Some days you may be preparing vehicles for sale, cleaning interiors, moving cars, or working outside on the lot. Other days you may be helping with inventory paperwork, organizing keys, assisting a customer, cleaning the office or garage, or helping with whatever is needed to keep the store running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working around cars and customers, likes variety, is comfortable with both physical work and basic computer tasks, and wants to learn more about how a used car dealership operates. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles to be lot-ready and sale-ready Wash, vacuum, wipe down, and clean vehicles as needed Shampoo vehicle carpets and upholstery when necessary Keep vehicles clean and presentable after they are placed on the lot Move and organize vehicles on the dealership lot Transport vehicles to and from service facilities, auctions, vendors, or other locations as needed Merchandise vehicles by installing pricing stickers, buyers guides, window stickers, and other required materials Keep the dealership lot clean, organized, and attractive Pick up trash and debris throughout the property Assist with landscaping, mowing, and general exterior upkeep Keep the office, showroom, garage, and work areas clean and organized Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed Perform basic computer and inventory-related tasks Print documents needed for vehicle inventory Organize and maintain deal jackets, key tags, vehicle keys, and inventory records Assist with physical inventory checks and vehicle location verification Help identify vehicles that need cleaning, maintenance, merchandising, or attention Assist dealership management with other duties required to keep the store operating effectively What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and shows up ready to work Willing to work indoors and outdoors Able to work independently without needing constant supervision Organized and able to notice when something needs to be done Comfortable working around vehicles Friendly and professional when interacting with customers Comfortable with basic computer work Able to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibility Interested in growing with the dealership and learning more about the automotive business Willing to help wherever needed Preferred Experience Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required. Experience in any of the following is a plus: Automotive lot porter or lot attendant Oil change or lube technician Automotive detailing Dealership sales Vehicle inventory Automotive service General maintenance or landscaping Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles Basic computer skills Strong attention to detail willingness to learn Opportunity for Growth Auto Island is looking for more than someone to simply wash cars or move vehicles.
