Witko Incorporated is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory, and ensuring materials are available to support customer orders and production requirements. The Inventory Control Specialist will develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules while balancing customer requirements, inventory levels, material availability, production capacity, staffing, and changing priorities. This is an individual contributor position with no direct supervisory responsibility , but it works closely with the Materials Manager, Lead Production Supervisor, production teams, and other departments. What You'll DoProduction Scheduling Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, due dates, inventory, material availability, equipment capacity, staffing, and established priorities. Prioritize job orders and determine the appropriate production sequence. Coordinate production schedules between departments and communicate priorities and changes to production leadership. Monitor production progress and identify delays, material shortages, capacity constraints, or other issues that could affect customer commitments. Work closely with the Lead Production Supervisor to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable on the production floor. Adjust schedules as customer requirements, material availability, equipment status, staffing, or other conditions change. Communicate schedule changes promptly to affected departments and management. Identify potential scheduling conflicts before they create production or customer issues. Maintain accurate scheduling information in Nulogy and other applicable systems. Use production information and historical data to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate and expedite work or materials when necessary to meet customer expectations. Materials & Inventory Coordination Verify on-hand material information and identify material requirements needed to support scheduled production. Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and anticipated shortages to the Materials Manager and appropriate sales personnel. Work with the Materials Manager to ensure required materials are available when needed. Assist with determining inventory needs for stock and customer orders. Help maintain appropriate inventory levels without creating excessive inventory. Coordinate with materials personnel when additional materials are needed. Support expedite requests by providing accurate inventory and scheduling information. Inventory Control & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations in Nulogy and other company inventory records. Perform and/or coordinate cycle counts, physical counts, and inventory audits. Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes. Communicate inventory findings to the Materials Manager. Process inventory adjustments accurately and maintain required documentation and approvals. Monitor inventory transactions to identify potential receiving, issuing, transfer, scrap, or production-related errors. Help establish processes that prevent recurring inventory discrepancies. Nulogy / ERP Systems Maintain a strong working knowledge of Nulogy related to production scheduling, inventory control, and material requirements. Enter, review, and maintain scheduling and inventory information accurately. Use Nulogy to identify production requirements, material needs, and inventory constraints. Investigate scheduling or inventory issues and assist with routine problem-solving. Identify system or process issues that may affect scheduling or inventory accuracy and communicate them to management. Reporting & Additional Support Prepare production, inventory, and other reports requested by management or customers. Assist with periodic reviews of slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Provide information needed to support decisions regarding slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory. Work closely with the Materials Manager, Lead Production Supervisor, and other departments. Communicate schedule priorities and changes clearly and promptly. Perform other duties as assigned based on company requirements.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of inventory control experience . Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills. Experience working with Nulogy, spreadsheets, and/or other ERP systems . Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable making day-to-day scheduling decisions within established company priorities. You should be able to balance multiple moving pieces, recognize potential issues before they become problems, and communicate changes quickly and effectively. Success in this position requires strong follow-through, urgency, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail . Working Relationships This position reports directly to the Materials Manager and owns the day-to-day production schedule within the priorities and direction established by management. You will work closely with the Lead Production Supervisor , who is responsible for executing the production schedule on the manufacturing floor. Strong communication between Inventory Control and Production is essential to ensure schedules remain realistic and production constraints are addressed quickly. Significant scheduling conflicts, customer-impacting issues, material shortages, or capacity constraints that cannot be resolved within established guidelines should be escalated to the Materials Manager and/or company management. What Success Looks Like Production schedules are accurate, realistic, and communicated on time. Customer priorities and due dates are appropriately reflected in production schedules. Schedule changes are identified and communicated before they cause avoidable disruptions. Inventory records and Nulogy information remain accurate and up to date. Inventory discrepancies are investigated and communicated promptly. Materials are available to support scheduled production. The position demonstrates strong organization, urgency, follow-through, and attention to detail.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
