Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Scheduler to support our Nursing Services Departments. This position maintains monthly nursing schedules for the Nursing Services Departments, responds to employees' requests for time off, and maintains daily overtime logs. The Scheduler also communicates with Administration regarding schedule changes needed for training and in-services.
Scheduler Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and complete schedules for nursing department Manage recruitment needs by determining open positions Review daily staffing pattern as scheduled on allocation sheets as compared to census Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Other related duties as assigned by
Supervisor Scheduler Requirements:
Must have prior experience in an HR or staffing setting Experience with staffing ratios and scheduling required Previous nursing home scheduling experience preferred Background or degree in HR strongly preferred Knowledge of human resource administration Strong Inter-personal, organizational and problem-solving skills Must have excellent communication skills Knowledge of New York and Federal Laws related to scheduling Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
