Job Description
Job Summary The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating daily production schedules to ensure customer orders are manufactured and delivered on time. This role serves as a key link between customer service, production, shipping, and quality by maintaining production schedules, monitoring finished goods inventory, and communicating with multiple departments to ensure efficient operations. The Production Scheduler must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to adjust priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Schedule customer orders to ensure on-time production and delivery. Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels. Monitor finished goods inventory for assigned production lines and adjust schedules as needed. Coordinate with the Inventory Materials Coordinator to ensure adequate supplies of resin, boxes, cores, pallets, and other production materials. Communicate production priorities and schedule changes with Client Account Specialists, the Plant Manager, Production Manager, and Quality team. Complete daily morning production reporting by reviewing the previous day's production, verifying output, and allocating completed products to customer orders. Track production progress and make schedule adjustments to minimize downtime and meet customer commitments. Work with production leadership to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or material shortages. Ensure accurate production records and scheduling documentation are maintained. Support continuous improvement efforts to increase production efficiency and customer satisfaction. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing production demands. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
