Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00PM Salary:
$21-$25 About theRole:
We are seeking a highly organized, data-savvy Operations and Process Excellence Coordinator to join our team onsite in Newton, MA. This pivotal role blends daily operational support with continuous process improvement to ensure our milk bank facility runs at peak efficiency. Project Management:
Design and execute timelines for facility planning, new equipment installation, and quality improvement research.Data & Quality Control:
Manage data entry, log pasteurization lab results, verify milk labels, and ensure strict compliance with regulatory and safety standards.Facility Operations:
Oversee inventory, track and order supplies within budget, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate monthly inventory reviews.Process Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma principles to map workflows, eliminate waste, and resolve operational bottlenecks.Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.Administrative Support:
Manage shared email boxes, answer phone inquiries, coordinate staff meetings, and support junior staff as needed.Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, logistics, or project management.Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience working with databases. Salesforce experience is a big plus.Methodologies:
Knowledge of or exposure to continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or process mapping).Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, stand/sit for long periods, and move frequently throughout the facility (pushing carts with milk bottles and boxes).Attributes:
Meticulous attention to detail, flexibility, a collaborative problem-solving mindset, and a good sense of humor.Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
