Excel Nursing Services is hiring a Full-Time Home Care Scheduler ! WHAT DOES A HOME CARE SCHEDULER DO?
Our Home Care Scheduler keeps the moving pieces of home care organized and working together. You will be responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules, responding to changes, communicating with clients and staff, and making sure our clients receive the services they are scheduled to receive.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, manage, and adjust caregiver schedules based on client needs and employee availability Coordinate daily communication between caregivers, clients, supervisors, and case managers Fill open shifts and respond quickly to call-outs, cancellations, and schedule changes Monitor caregiver attendance and client cancellations Schedule new referrals and enter client information accurately into our EMR/scheduling system Confirm schedules and communicate changes professionally and promptly Identify scheduling conflicts and find effective solutions Maintain continuity of care by matching clients with appropriate caregivers whenever possible Work closely with the Nursing Supervisor regarding co-visits, field needs, and staffing concerns Provide accurate scheduling information to assist with payroll processing Assist with administrative and HR-related tasks as needed Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours scheduling support Assist with client outreach and caregiver retention efforts Maintain accurate documentation and follow company policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned

We're looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A strong communicator who can handle difficult conversations professionally A problem-solver who doesn't give up when a schedule gets complicated Comfortable working with computers and scheduling/EMR software Able to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities Customer-service focused and compassionate Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Requirements:
Previous scheduling experience Healthcare or home care experience Staffing or coordination experience Experience working with an EMR or scheduling system Customer service or office administration experience Associates Degree or Higher in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Management, Nursing, or a related field.
