This is a Long-term Contract opportunity suited for someone who can balance inventory availability, schedule commitments, and cross-functional coordination in a low-volume, high-value environment. The ideal candidate brings strong planning expertise, sound judgment in resolving supply challenges, and hands-on experience with Oracle-based ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
Review vendor-driven material requests, confirm stock availability, and coordinate with planning teams to distribute inventory effectively. Adjust and communicate updates to production schedules while identifying risks that could interrupt manufacturing output. Take initiative to resolve planning, material, and scheduling issues by working closely with operations, purchasing, and related stakeholders. Escalate component shortages to purchasing and help drive urgent actions needed to protect production timelines. Convert approved requisitions into inventory reservations and ensure materials are issued accurately to the appropriate cost center. Create and process sales orders required for material movement, then coordinate delivery to internal requestors. Track and share performance metrics tied to schedule adherence, planning activity, material readiness, and documentation quality. Support planning activities within enterprise systems, with a preference for Oracle experience in manufacturing and inventory transactions. 5-10 years of planning experience in a low-volume, high-value, custom-configured capital equipment manufacturing setting. Strong working knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and material allocation processes. Experience using ERP platforms, with Oracle strongly preferred. Ability to interpret demand requirements and translate them into practical production and material plans. Familiarity with purchasing workflows, requisition handling, and inventory reservation activities. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across planning, purchasing, and manufacturing teams. Proficiency in analyzing schedule commitments, shortages, and operational performance data to support decision-making.
