Job Summary

An industry-leading private aviation group is seeking a curious learner to join as an Operations Advisor to support its continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the dynamic business aviation industry and the safety sector. The company develops Safety Management Systems (SMS), offers proprietary SMS software, and produces operations manuals for thousands of customers. The worldwide customer base and expanding target market includes Fortune 500 flight departments, aircraft management companies, and private owner/operators of business jets, FBOs and commercial drone operators.

Principal Responsibilities

Support the development of manuals and other documentation for business aviation operators.

Ensure manual content is in accordance with an in-house style guide, applicable regulations, manufacturer guidance, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.

Use a consultative approach to guide clients through the manual development process.

Take ownership of and respond to client questions and inquiries applying research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Communicate effectively and confidently provide support to operators worldwide.

Respond to aviation authority feedback.

Assist with the development of operations and maintenance procedures, as needed.

Review written materials for style, grammar, accuracy, and formatting.

Print, assemble, pack, and ship hard copies of manuals to customers.

In collaboration with the team, develop and implement process improvements.

Periodically provide input and content for company marketing and sales initiatives.

Support the team in various tasks and projects, as requested.

Create and update records in the customer relationship management system and proprietary software platforms.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills via phone, web meeting, and email.

Experience in the aviation industry.

Strong attention to detail and copyediting ability.

High proficiency in written English.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Experience with Microsoft Windows.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications:

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Work (or internship) experience with document management and technical writing.

Experience with advanced aircraft operations, avionics and systems.

Familiarity with Safety Management Systems, particularly for aviation operations.
