Hospital Operations Coordinator (RN) - PRN Summary Carroll Hospital is seeking a Hospital Operations Coordinator (RN) to lead Carroll Hospital!
Job Summary:
Evaluates and facilitates patient flow, supports timely triage, and implements critical occupancy policies when bed availability is limited. Ensures adherence to admission and transfer timeframes while coordinating efficient patient movement throughout the hospital. Interprets hospital and nursing policies for staff and physicians, serving as the administrative liaison and providing leadership as needed. Supervises hospital personnel in the absence of the Manager or Director and addresses patient and visitor concerns through appropriate resolution and escalation. Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and positive leadership by supporting organizational changes and modeling professional behavior. Oversees Admitting, Medical Records, and other departments in the absence of regular staff while ensuring efficient operations. Applies strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues, recommend process improvements, and promote effective collaboration. Maintains professional growth by completing continuing education, mandatory training, competencies, and staying current with hospital standards and procedures. Responds to and oversees emergency codes, ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and staff, and documents and evaluates emergency situations. Coordinates staffing based on patient acuity and staffing matrices, reduces agency utilization, mentors supplemental staff, completes performance evaluations, and manages Patient Observer utilization to meet organizational goals.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Basic Life Support
