Role Description:
The Wealth Operations & Compliance Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, MI. This role provides operational, administrative, and compliance support to the Wealth Advisory team. This role is responsible for assisting with client onboarding, account administration, regulatory documentation, and day-to-day office operations while helping ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Working closely with Wealth Advisors and the Compliance team, this individual plays an important role in delivering exceptional client experience while supporting efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for routine client service and administrative needs, including meeting coordination and follow-up. Support account openings, transfers, beneficiary changes, account maintenance, and other client requests from initiation through completion. Maintain accurate client records and documentation within CRM and document management systems. Coordinate with custodians, third-party vendors, advisors, and internal teams to support day-to-day Wealth Advisory operations. Support client onboarding and compliance requirements, including KYC, AML, disclosures, and other required documentation. Review and maintain client files to support compliance reviews, audits, regulatory examinations, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, operational efficiency, and the overall client experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, operations, compliance, or a related support role preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM or document management systems. Familiarity with wealth management operations, custodial platforms, SEC/FINRA requirements, and AML/KYC processes is a plus.
