This role is responsible for aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and production priorities to ensure exceptional delivery performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the master production schedule to support customer demand and plant capacity. Create and release production work orders while balancing priorities across multiple departments. Analyze capacity requirements and adjust production plans to maximize throughput and on-time delivery. Monitor inventory levels and improve inventory accuracy through effective planning strategies. Lead daily production planning activities and coordinate scheduling priorities with manufacturing leadership. Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, pull systems, and visual inventory management processes. Track production performance, shipping metrics, and schedule attainment to identify improvement opportunities. Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams during APQP activities and new product launches. Resolve scheduling challenges while maintaining customer commitments and production efficiency. Qualifications 7+ years of production planning, scheduling, or production control experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling. Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles; pull system experience is highly preferred. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and planning. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
