Job Description

Scheduling Coordinator - Full-Time, In-Person Full-Time | In-Person Office Position Prefer Applicant near the Farmington, Michigan area We are an established home health care agency seeking a highly organized, computer-savvy Scheduling Coordinator to join our office team. This is an
OFFICE-BASED
scheduling and customer service position — not a caregiver position. We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience working in a professional office, customer service, scheduling, dispatching, staffing, medical office, call center, or similar fast-paced administrative environment. What You'll Do You will be responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules and communicating throughout the day with both clients and field staff. This position requires someone who is comfortable working on a computer throughout the day while simultaneously handling frequent telephone calls and changing schedules.
Responsibilities include:
Scheduling and coordinating caregiver assignments Answering a busy multi-line telephone Communicating professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff Handling call-offs and finding replacement staff Making schedule changes quickly and accurately Entering and updating information in our computer scheduling system Following up with employees regarding attendance and scheduling issues Documenting telephone calls and staffing changes Working closely with management to ensure client visits are properly staffed The Person We Are Looking For Our ideal candidate has strong OFFICE and
CUSTOMER SERVICE
experience and is: Very comfortable with computers and learning new software An excellent communicator on the telephone Able to type and enter information quickly and accurately Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable handling multiple tasks at the same time Able to remain professional when dealing with frustrated clients or employees Assertive enough to manage scheduling issues and employee call-offs Dependable and able to work a consistent 40-hour workweek Comfortable working in a fast-paced office where priorities can change throughout the day Experience We Prefer We are particularly interested in applicants with backgrounds such as:

Previous caregiving experience by itself is not the experience we are seeking for this position. Applicants should have demonstrated office, scheduling, administrative, dispatching, or customer-service experience and strong computer skills.
