) We are a small engineering and product development shop that just launched a consumer product of our own. We build it here, in house, by hand. We are looking for one sharp, fast, hands-on person to become the point person for that product line. This starts as a small number of hours per week and grows as production ramps. Read the "Real talk" section below before you apply, because we want the right fit more than we want a fast hire. What you will actually be doing Hand assembling our consumer product: plastic housings, small motors, pumps, wiring, and electronic components Running our 3D print farm to produce parts, including loading, monitoring, part removal, and basic troubleshooting Quality checking finished units and catching problems before they ship Tracking component inventory in our MRP software and flagging when we need to reorder Keeping the production area organized, stocked, and running smoothly General shop assistance on other projects between production runs Over time, handling customer service for the product line What we are looking for Intelligence. Dumbasses need not apply. Go away. Real hands-on experience. You are comfortable with hand tools and small power tools. You are not learning what a driver bit is on day one. Speed. This is the big one. We need someone who moves quickly and finishes things. Careful and slow does not work here. Careful and fast does. Dexterity. Small parts, small fasteners, small wires. An extremely fast learner. We will show you something once, maybe twice. Then it is yours. Reliability. If you say you are coming in Tuesday, you are coming in Tuesday. A good attitude. Small shop, close quarters. We want someone who is pleasant to work next to. Ownership. We want someone who takes this product line personally, not someone clocking in for a gig. Comfort with basic computer work is required, since the MRP software and print farm both live on a screen. Physical requirements Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Able to stand, bend, and reach for the duration of a shift Manual dexterity sufficient to assemble small components and handle small fasteners and wiring Close visual acuity for detailed assembly and inspection work Real talk We are being straight with you about this part, because we would rather you self-select than get frustrated in month two. Right now this is a small number of hours per week, and those hours will be unpredictable. Some weeks will be busier than others depending on inventory and production runs. This is not a stable 40 hours, and it will not be for a while.

a genuine ground-floor spot on a product line we expect to scale significantly. The person who takes this on and does it well becomes the person who runs this operation as it grows. The hours grow with the product. This is a great fit if you want meaningful, interesting work and some extra income, and if variable hours are workable for you rather than a dealbreaker. It is a bad fit if you need reliable full-time income starting now.
