Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Purpose:
Receive, distribute and enter approved customer purchase orders and planning schedules. Schedule work centers to meet customer requirements.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program. Participate in new order contract review. Receive and distribute orders on a daily basis. Pull in EDI and / or internet orders on a daily basis. Enter customer PO's with accepted lead times and pricing or fill out SCR. Work with customer, sales and production to handle scheduling conflicts. Analyze and plan production flow to best optimize work centers, hours of operation and incoming material requirements. Review and expedite changes to orders. Handle customer concerns pertaining to production scheduling. Overall knowledge and operation of MRP and ERP as it pertains to planning/scheduling. Create / update production jobs, visual scheduling and review level loading of manufacturing work centers. Participate in change notice process. Create rework and engineering jobs as requested. Facilitate group discussions pertaining to scheduling, MRP and ERP issues. Assist in developing planning/scheduling "Best Practices."

Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience :
APICS, NAPM or ISM certification or comparable strongly recommended 2-4 years of secondary education 3-5 years experience in procurement, negotiations and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy Multitask oriented Performs well under pressure Must have good communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong understanding of
MRP /ERP
Possess working knowledge of
Microsoft Office Products Training:
