AM Pay Range:
$18-$22 DOE Job Summary The DTF Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Direct to‑ Film (DTF) printing equipment to produce ‑high-quality ‑heat transfer‑ prints. This role ensures consistent print quality, efficient production flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards while meeting daily production goals Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor DTF printers, shakers, dryers, and curing equipment Load film, inks, powders, and materials according to job specifications Prepare artwork files and verify print settings (color profiles, resolution, alignment) Monitor print quality, color accuracy, and film consistency throughout production Apply adhesive powder evenly and ensure proper curing of transfers Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of DTF equipment Troubleshoot common printing issues (banding, ink flow, adhesion, curing problems) Inspect finished transfers to ensure they meet quality standards Maintain accurate production logs and material usage records Follow all safety, cleanliness, and equipment handling‑ procedures Collaborate with production and finishing teams to meet deadlines Receive instructions from Supervisor/ Manager and follow through Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous experience operating DTF, screen print, digital, or textile printing equipment preferred Basic mechanical and technical aptitude Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules Strong attention to detail and color accuracy Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with DTF printers, RIP software, and heat‑transfer workflows Knowledge of CMYK color management and print file preparation Experience in apparel decoration or print production environments Basic computer skills for operating printer interfaces and RIP software Familiarity with quality control and production efficiency standards Skills & Competencies Mechanical and troubleshooting skills Eye for detail and print quality Time management and reliability Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Safety‑focused mindset Work Environment & Schedule Print production or manufacturing environment Exposure to noise, heat, inks, powders, and moving equipment
Shift:
