As a Surgery Scheduler, you'll coordinate surgical cases requested by Minnesota Urology P.A. physicians, helping ensure patients, clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers stay aligned and informed. Key responsibilities include scheduling procedures accurately; communicating prep details, arrival times, locations, and general insurance/referral guidance; maintaining current physician surgery calendars; documenting in the EHR; confirming needed prior authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications; and managing cancellations/reschedules in a way that reduces disruption for patients and facilities.Required qualifications/skills:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of surgery scheduling experience in a clinic or hospital setting. Advance understanding of Medical terminology; some insurance background is preferred. With competitive pay ranging from $22.00 to $27.50 an hour, you will be rewarded for your dedication and expertise. A Typical Day You'll spend your day onsite in Woodbury-Maplewood or Eagan, working standard Monday-Friday hours with no nights, weekends, or holidays. The morning often starts by reviewing updates from providers and checking the day's case requests. Throughout the day, you'll balance phone calls and messages from patients and partner sites, confirm details across multiple locations, and keep information current in the system. You'll also build in time to resolve last-minute changes, double-check key dates and paperwork status, and close out the day knowing schedules are clear and patients understand what's next.Benefits
