JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions:
Based on business need, the role will focus on one or more of the following:
Support Core Supply Chain Operations :
Partner directly with the Production Planning, Material Planning, and Product Scheduling Teams to assist with daily planning operations and schedule execution.
Stranded Inventory Optimization :
Identify zero-demand stranded inventory and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate an actionable rework plan into various production schedules (
KPI:
Inventory without Demand Reduction).
Lead Time Improvement :
Utilize material availability tools to identify bottlenecks and improve lead times for 'D' parts, directly supporting cash collection initiatives (
KPI:
Cash Collection).
Shortage & Escalation Management :
Proactively identify material shortages and assist in managing escalations for upcoming "Make" (manufactured) parts that fall outside normal planning windows to safeguard production timelines (
KPI:
On-Time Delivery (OTD)).
Data Analysis & Reporting :
Assist in compiling, analyzing, and reporting key supply chain performance metrics (KPIs) to identify process improvement opportunities.
Skills and Competencies:
Supply Chain Foundational Knowledge :
Basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :
Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends/shortages, and propose data-driven solutions.
Communication & Collaboration :
Strong interpersonal skills to manage escalations and collaborate effectively across the Production, Material, and Scheduling teams.
Software & Systems :
Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables and formulas, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) is a plus.
Detail-Oriented & Adaptable :
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education:
Degree :
Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
