Job Summary:
Manage job order queue to create and modify job orders. Create production schedules and clearly communicate to workstations by approved methods. Understand component part availability prior to scheduling. Works closely with Sales and Production to improve on-time delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Job Order Queue daily to satisfy demand requirements. Create, modify, and print job orders required to schedule production - sales and safety stocks. Create and communicate production schedules to meet customer ship dates and stock levels. Verify availability of components prior to scheduling workstation. Schedule workstations based on approved capacities. Delivers and organizes job orders for each workstation. Cleary communicates schedules by managing white boards, ensure operators understand. Minimize changeovers to improve uptime. Manages production schedules to determine overtime needs for production. Manage job orders to ensure sales orders are expedited to ensure customer satisfaction. Works closely with Sales and Production on planning, expediting job orders; and ensuring job orders are entered with valid lead times and meet sales demand. Works with production down time to adjust scheduling. Assists Manager as needed with other responsibilities. Check labels for accuracy. ECR and deviation management ? enter before giving to production. After approval reprint jobs. Creating purchase orders for customer supplied elements. Inventory cycle counting lead backup and participation as requested. Managing label requests. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10-key adding machine/keypunch helpful. Excellent Computer and Organizational skills ? MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as inventory levels and costs, safety stock, reorder quantity, reorder point. Intermediate math skills necessary. Ability to work independently/solve problems. Ability to work with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Physical Requirements:
Maintain professional appearance and abide by company conduct, dress code policies Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. at times Must be able to sit, stand and walk around for long periods of time Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
