Job Description

Job Summary :
The Cash Application Specialist will receive, prepare for posting, and post a variety of account payments received electronically, by mail, and/or other departments, as well as payments from error reports, balances all payments and adjustments, updates change of address and phone number from patient statements, process mail received from the lockbox, posts claim denials, maintain Explanation of Benefits and voucher files. Random checking of electronic postings to ensure deductibles, co-ins and denials are posted correctly. Research payments as needed for patients, co-workers, and insurance companies. Process debits and credits and perform other duties as assigned by Administrative Operations Coordinator.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. At least six months of Business Office experience. Basic PC and 10 Key skills. Data entry ability. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of insurance principals and practices. Above average consumer math skills. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
