Job Description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Plant Scheduler (Material Planning) in the Mooresville NC area This is a contract position We are seeking an experienced Plant Scheduler to support our client's Planning Department
JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Scheduler performs technical material planning and production scheduling in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role partners with multiple departments to establish and maintain planning and engineering processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and operational efficiency. The position operates under limited supervision and requires independent judgment in interpreting policies, procedures, and process requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create and maintain engineering masters used to generate work orders. Update cycle times for machining operations. Schedule, print, and release work orders and supporting documentation to manage manufacturing workflows. Verify the accuracy of production paperwork prior to release. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate vendor-managed inventory to ensure material availability. Collaborate with the Methods Department to develop manufacturing documentation, including models, drawings, and inspection records. Update part revisions and work orders in the Visual ERP system based on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Review production schedules and confirm materials are available and approved by Quality. Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, service, availability, and product selection. Investigate defective materials with Quality, Inspection, and suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Three or more years of experience in material planning, process technician work, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of Visual ERP, work order management, and process creation. Working knowledge of project management principles and methodologies. General understanding of ISO 13485 and
FDA 21 CFR
Part 820 requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SolidWorks, and ERP systems. Strong mathematical skills, including arithmetic, algebra, geometric calculations, and metric conversions. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and business needs. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on customer and quality objectives. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to analyze costs and support operational decision-making. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
