8 am - 5 pm; OT as needed(Mon-Fri) Summary The Project Scheduler serves as the primary source for developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrated schedules across a portfolio of capital projects. This role supports projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from design and planning through execution, commissioning, and closeout. The Scheduler drives schedule accuracy, visibility, and accountability by partnering with Project Leaders, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to identify risks, manage constraints, and ensure successful milestone delivery. This position also leads to implementation of the Last Planner System (LPS), facilitating collaborative planning processes that improve project performance and execution reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and analyse integrated project schedules across multiple active projects. Establish project baselines, conduct critical path analysis, and evaluate schedule impacts and recovery plans. Partners with Project Leaders and project teams to monitor progress, forecast completion dates, and manage schedule risks. Facilitate Last Planner System (LPS) activities, including pull planning, look-ahead planning, weekly work planning, and constraint management. Track and report schedule performance metrics, including Percent Plan Complete (PPC) and portfolio health indicators. Prepare portfolio-level dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries. Support project reviews, governance processes, and leadership reporting. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling processes, planning standards, and project execution effectiveness. Provide training, coaching, and guidance on scheduling best practices and LPS methodologies. Required Education & Skills AAS degree or higher, experience in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field. At least 2 - 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of scheduling, project controls, or project management experience. Strong teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to safety. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable scheduling tools. Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule forecasting, resource planning, and risk management. Experience with Lean Construction principles and Last Planner System preferred. PMP, PMI-SP, or Lean Construction certifications are a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting/dashboard development skills. Desired Skills Serves as the organization's scheduling SME. Background in manufacturing or construction environments. Coaches and trains project teams on scheduling best practices. Experience in optical fibre manufacturing is a plus. Promote adoption of LPS and standard work processes. Understanding of sequencing construction activities and field execution. Travel Requirements Occasional travel may be required to vendor locations to gather equipment-related information; travel is expected to be minimal. Travel will be required to client's Optical Fiber and Cable Manufacturing sites in North Carolina. #
