Full Job Description Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday:
7:00 AM-8:00 PM with a 1-hour break Remaining 16 hours split between Friday and Monday Friday shifts end by 6:00 PM Monday shift begins by 8:00 AM Schedule is designed to provide seamless handoffs with the weekday team
What You'll Do:
Keep loads moving by booking and covering time-sensitive freight Monitor shipments for on-time pickups and deliveries Maintain accurate load and shipment information in McLeod Respond to carrier communications via phone, email, Chain, and other platforms Handle time-sensitive quotes through Parade Monitor shared tracking and team inboxes Resolve issues including no-shows, late arrivals, carrier requests, and rescheduling Identify and escalate issues that may impact next-day operations Prepare clear handoff notes and shift summaries Provide backup support for tracking and brokering until the weekday team takes over Use sound judgment to make timely decisions and escalate major operational or rate-related issues when needed
What We're Looking For:
Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy Calm, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills Ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information and determine the appropriate course of action
Preferred:
Freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation experience Experience with McLeod, Parade, Highway, Chain, or similar systems Experience with food, refrigerated, or agricultural freight Experience working in high-volume, time-sensitive environments
