Company Overview Plaistow Smile Dental is a family-owned dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality general, family, and cosmetic dentistry in a welcoming and patient-focused environment. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our dental office. This is a military-friendly opportunity. Position Overview The Operations Assistant will help keep the dental practice organized, efficient, and running smoothly. This position works closely with the dental team and office leadership to coordinate administrative and operational tasks, maintain supplies and records, support staff, and help ensure an excellent experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Assist with the daily administrative and operational activities of the dental practice Support the office manager and leadership team with administrative projects and assignments Help coordinate schedules, meetings, staff activities, and operational tasks Coordinate with vendors, dental laboratories, service providers, and other business partners as needed Maintain accurate records, files, forms, and operational documentation Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, reports, and routine administrative tasks Assist with organizing work areas and maintaining an efficient office environment Support communication and coordination between clinical and administrative team members Help identify routine operational issues and assist with finding practical solutions Assist with implementing office procedures and maintaining consistent workflows Provide professional and courteous support to patients, staff, vendors, and visitors when needed Protect patient and company information and maintain confidentiality at all times Follow office policies, procedures, and applicable privacy and safety requirements Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Dependable, punctual, and accountable Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business software Ability to learn dental office systems and software Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills Previous experience in administration, operations, logistics, customer service, healthcare, or a related field is helpful but not required Dental office experience is a plus but not required Military experience is welcome and valued Preferred Skills Operations coordination Administrative support Inventory and supply management Scheduling and coordination Customer service Data entry and record keeping Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Communication and teamwork Problem solving Logistics or supply chain experience Experience working in a fast-paced environment Spanish language skills are a plus Chinese language skills are a plus Education & Experience A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education, training, military experience, or professional experience in logistics, operations, supply chain, inventory management, purchasing, healthcare, or a related field is preferred. Relevant military training and experience may be considered in place of formal education or civilian logistics experience where appropriate. Work Environment This position is based in a professional dental practice environment and involves working with clinical and administrative team members, vendors, delivery personnel, and dental laboratories. The role may involve periods of standing, walking throughout the office, organizing supplies, receiving deliveries, and moving boxes or materials.
Pay:
$35.30 - $40.47 per hour
