About the Role Under the direction of the Lot Manager and Lot Supervisor, the Rental Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring our rental fleet is clean, safe, organized, and ready for customer use. This position combines fleet operations, customer service, vehicle inspections, inventory management, and logistics to help deliver an outstanding rental experience. We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service. Essential Responsibilities Review daily reservation reports and prepare vehicles for scheduled rentals. Ensure vehicles are rental-ready by checking fuel levels, DEF, washer fluid, battery charge, cleanliness, and overall presentation. Coordinate vehicle pickups and returns while accurately documenting vehicle condition with photographs and written notes. Verify rental agreements and ensure vehicles match customer contracts before release. Provide customers with a professional vehicle orientation and answer questions regarding vehicle operation and features. Organize and maintain fleet inventory by parking vehicles in designated locations. Conduct daily vehicle inventory and lot inspections. Transport vehicles between company locations, vendors, dealerships, repair facilities, and auctions. Inspect vehicles for damage, mechanical concerns, or maintenance needs and promptly report issues. Mark vehicles requiring service and coordinate with the maintenance team as needed. Perform interior and exterior cleaning, detailing, and vehicle preparation. Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and inspection documents remain current. Maintain accurate parking records and generate daily parking reports. Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist with daily rental operations and support other operational needs as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. CDL Class A or B preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience driving and maneuvering vans, trucks, or commercial vehicles. Previous experience in fleet operations, vehicle rentals, logistics, automotive, or customer service is preferred. Basic computer skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Work Schedule Full-time position.
