Pay:
$24.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00

Start Date:
October 19, 2026, We are hiring a Cardiology and Electrophysiology Scheduling Coordinator to support the VMG Heart Failure and Electrophysiology team. This is a non-clinical administrative role focused on patient scheduling, Athena work queues, patient communication, documentation, and medical office coordination.
Responsibilities:
Schedule Cardiology and Electrophysiology appointments and follow-up visits. Manage patient calls, voicemail, team emails, and administrative inquiries. Coordinate patient outreach related to appointments and follow-up needs. Manage Athena work queues, buckets, appointment ticklers, and follow-up lists. Complete accurate data entry and maintain patient documentation in Athena. Communicate professionally with patients, providers, clinical staff, and internal departments. Follow up on outstanding scheduling and documentation needs. Maintain organized patient records and administrative work queues. Support daily medical office workflows and provide cross-coverage as needed. Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. At least 6 months of experience in a Cardiology or Electrophysiology medical office. Previous medical office administrative experience. Hands-on appointment scheduling experience. Athena experience is required. Strong patient communication and administrative follow-up skills. Ability to work onsite in a busy Cardiology/Electrophysiology environment.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be W2 employees of the submitting agency. Proof of the full
COVID-19
vaccine series and at least one booster is required before submission. One supervisory reference from within the past year must be provided and attached before submission. Candidates must complete all clearance and onboarding requirements.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
