Job Description
Operations Specialist
Software savvy, experience in ERP systems, and ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments.
Responsible for utilizing ERP software to support production operations.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing setting while leveraging technology to improve processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Learn the Steelhead system with a special focus on shipping, receiving and production functions.
2.Become familiar with the previous Blue Streak system for old records inquiry and reference needs.
3.Support production staff in addressing system and records issues as identified, Work to ensure complete and accurate data at order completion. Make it a point to walk the production floor on a regular basis to help find and address issues as encountered.
4.Assist in loading new customer Purchase Orders into Steelhead. Complete and accurate input is key.
5.Provide backup support to Shipping and Receiving staff. Assist with outgoing parts paperwork verification. Support load/unload activities and truck driver paperwork.
6.When required, work with customers to obtain required prints and supporting documents. Ensure the information is loaded into Steelhead for future use/reference.
7.Operate in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regular keyboard use
- Semi-regular walking throughout the scheduled shift (8-10 hours)
- Occasional bending, stooping, and writing
- Work environment in the production area can be warm and humid during summer months
- Some exposure to cold during the winter months
