Job Description
Posting Details The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute provides care to New Mexicans across six different divisions including hospital level inpatient psychiatric care for both civil and forensic commitments, residential treatment for adolescents, outpatient care for people with behavioral health disorders, detox and residential substance use treatment, and skilled/long-term care. As the largest behavioral health complex in the state, inpatient/residential care is provided to over 250 New Mexicans every day, along with 400 outpatient clients a month. There are over 600 employees across all the divisions of NMBHI to ensure high-quality treatment and care is delivered. This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? The Office Support assistant will provide administrative support to leadership by maintaining operational tracking systems, assisting with compliance initiatives, supporting departmental operations, monitoring administrative deadlines, and ensuring critical tasks are completed timely and accurately. How does it get done? Maintain and monitor job postings for operations Maintain spreadsheets, databases, tracking logs, and operational reports Assist with compliance activities by organizing documents, maintaining records, and tracking deadlines Provide administrative support for departmental projects Support leadership with projects Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support departmental operations. Who are the customers? NMBHI Staff Ideal Candidate NMBHI Staff Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid NM Drivers License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
