•$23.00 / hour Job Overview A premier distribution company in Bay Shore, NY , is looking for a versatile Warehouse Customer Service & Operations Specialist . Unlike entry-level pick/pack roles, this position serves as a bridge between warehouse fulfillment, problem resolution, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on picking and packing with troubleshooting order issues, prioritizing daily workloads, and training new warehouse team members.
Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment:
Perform accurate hands-on order picking, packing, and staging for outbound shipments.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, missing items, damaged goods, or mislabeled packages before shipping.
Team Training:
Onboard, mentor, and train new warehouse employees on picking procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Task Prioritization:
Review daily order queues, identify rush orders, and coordinate workflow priorities to ensure strict shipping deadlines are met.
Internal Customer Service:
Communicate clearly with internal customer service, sales, and management teams regarding order status updates and warehouse issues.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1-3+ years of warehouse, order picking, or logistics experience.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot order errors, think on your feet, and resolve inventory issues independently.
Leadership Potential:
Strong communication skills with a willingness to guide, train, and support peers.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, order lookups, and shipping software.
