PURPOSE Own and continuously improve production planning, control and scheduling for Lourdes Industries. Convert customer orders, forecasts, backlog and MRP demand into realistic, capacity-based plans that optimize flow through machining, outside processing, inspection, assembly, test and shipment. Maintain schedule integrity, material readiness, capacity visibility and proactive recovery using the Spartan Flight Path and Spartan Phalanx System Operating Playbooks.

RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITY

• Own the integrated production plan and detailed schedules from customer demand through shipment; keep priorities clear, achievable and aligned with commitments.
• Translate MRP, forecasts, backlog, inventory, lead times and capacity into work orders, material requirements, target schedules and recovery plans.
• Maintain planning parameters and ERP/MRP master data, including lead times, lot sizes, calendars, capacity assumptions and related settings.
• Issue, release, sequence, expedite, reschedule and close work orders based on readiness, capacity, routing, quality and customer priorities.
• Proactively identify shortages, bottlenecks, late operations, outside-process risks and capacity gaps; coordinate corrective action and escalate conflicts promptly.
• Recommend changes to priorities, overtime, staffing, subcontracting, tooling or capacity when the approved plan is at risk. DUTIES Demand, MRP, Scheduling & Production Control
• Review customer orders, forecasts, portal demand and MRP recommendations; maintain a current, time-phased demand picture and resolve planning exceptions.
• Build and maintain master, weekly and daily schedules that balance customer need dates, material availability, routing sequence, setup efficiency and available capacity.
• Track work orders through the full value stream; compare plan versus actual, control WIP/queue time, prioritize constraints and drive recovery before delivery is affected.
• Maintain practical shortage, target-schedule, recovery, expedite and milestone tools with clear owners, required dates and escalation points. Capacity, Materials & Product Flow
• Maintain short- and longer-range load-versus-capacity views by critical work center, machine family, assembly/test resource and skill; identify constraints early.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain on inventory, allocations, open POs, raw material, components and outside processing so work is released only when executable.
• Partner with Operations, Quality and Engineering to remove blockers involving material, tooling, documentation, programming, fixtures, inspection or test.
• Optimize sequencing and flow to improve throughput, cycle time, schedule adherence and OTD while reducing excess WIP, shortages and disruptive expediting. Customer, Systems & Continuous Improvement
• Use applicable customer portals, including Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, Collins and similar aerospace systems, to review demand, schedule changes and delivery requirements.
• Keep customer requirements, ERP/MRP dates, internal target schedules and communicated commitments aligned; provide timely, fact-based risk and recovery updates.
• Maintain accurate planning data and visual controls for OTD, schedule adherence, shortages, WIP, throughput, capacity, past-due orders and recovery performance.
• Apply Lean principles and the Spartan operating playbooks to improve flow, visual management, standard work, constraint management, planning discipline and production predictability.
• Work collaboratively across Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Program Management; communicate changes clearly and follow issues through closure.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline is required; equivalent experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of progressive production planning, control, scheduling, materials or supply-chain experience in complex manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
• Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience required; AS9100 or similarly controlled-environment experience strongly preferred.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience managing forecasts, demand, MRP recommendations, work orders, inventory, shortages, lead times and production schedules.
• Experience with aerospace customer portals/schedule systems.
• Working knowledge of inventory, purchasing, machining, outside processing, inspection, assembly/test, BOMs, routings, work centers and manufacturing lead times.
• Demonstrated ability to issue/control work orders and use shortage lists, target schedules, recovery plans and load-versus-capacity tools.
• Lean manufacturing background with practical experience improving flow, throughput, WIP, lead time and constraint performance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills; advanced Excel skills and effective use of ERP/MRP and business systems.

PHYSICAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
