Job Description
Operations CoordinatorNassau Candy is a premier importer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.
We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team on site in Hicksville, NY.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position serves as a key liaison between the Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams, ensuring the accurate setup of new items, timely replenishment and production orders, packaging procurement, and operational reporting. The successful candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills while effectively managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
ResponsibilitiesSet up new items in the ERP system, ensuring accurate and complete product information.
Coordinate factory replenishment orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Process internal edible product orders from the warehouse and monitor order status through completion.
Communicate with the Purchasing team regarding out-of-stock items and assist in resolving inventory shortages.
Create and manage purchase orders for internally printed packaging and packaging sourced from outside vendors.
Coordinate with external vendors and printers to ensure packaging materials are delivered on schedule.
Coordinate customer replenishment production orders in partnership with the Production Operations team.
Run and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to warehouse, replenishment, and management teams.
Monitor operational data for accuracy and identify, research, and correct discrepancies within the system.
Maintain organized records, spreadsheets, and tracking reports to support operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Warehouse to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects.
Provide administrative support and perform additional operational responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in operations, production coordination, purchasing, inventory control, or a related administrative role preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
