Job Description
Job Description Ensures the cleanliness, organization, and operational safety of ambulances and EMS facilities within Northwell Health. Key responsibilities include managing medical supply inventory, coordinating the distribution and retrieval of equipment for ambulance crews, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Job Responsibility 1.Maintain operational readiness of ambulance to support EMS. 2.Clean, sanitize and organize ambulance after each use to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. 3.Ensure cleanliness and safety of ambulances, facilities, and medical supply shelves. 4.Monitor and manage medical supply and equipment inventory for ambulance crews. 5.Ensure compliance with NYS DOH Part 800 guidelines regarding equipment requirements for ambulance vehicles. 5.Move Northwell EMS vehicles, follow safety protocols, and complete the EMS Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) course. 6.Organize medical equipment and supplies within ambulances for easy access during emergencies. 7.Report unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors. 8.Unpack, label, and store supplies appropriately, including receiving deliveries. 9.Retrieve and clean equipment from hospitals. 10.Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. 11.Keep the work area free of obstructions and hazards Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of EMS Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) Course, required.
- Valid NYS Driver's license, required (current and without violations).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds, required.
