Job Description
Essential Job Functions Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery Enters shipment location, date and time into Dispatch system Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location Escalates potential or existing service failures to Dispatch, Operations Management and Client Works closely with Dispatch, Account Mangers, Account Executives and Operations to ensure service level expectations are achieved and clients are informed of shipment status Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs, etc.) Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of US Geography Excellent organizational and problem solving skills Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Excel Works well in a team environment Physical Requirements Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Education & Experience High school diploma or GED/Bachelor's degree preferred
