Job Description Work Schedule This position works the following schedule: Tuesday through
Friday:
3:00 PM - 11:30
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM The 3rd Party Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating delivery schedules, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring efficient transportation operations. This position serves as a key point of contact for drivers, customer care teams, consumers, and sales personnel to facilitate on-time deliveries and resolve issues quickly and professionally. Principal Functional Responsibilities Communicate regularly with dispatch, customer care, lead times, deliveries, and issues are properly managed and resolved Efficiently and effectively interact with drivers entering and exiting the facility Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to all affected parties Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver activity, and transportation documentation Assist in resolving transportation and scheduling concerns promptly Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards Work closely with third-party carriers to maximize service levels and delivery performance Essential Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of previous customer service and/or dispatching experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build and maintain professional business relationships Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Excellent attendance and reliability are required Preferred Qualifications and Skills DOT knowledge and experience Call center, transportation, or truck dispatching experience Experience scheduling inbound and outbound freight Experience working with third-party logistics providers and common carriers Understanding of freight, delivery, and logistics operations Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email throughout the workday Ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs Working Conditions Office environment with frequent interaction with drivers Fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously The range for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 hourly.
