Full Job Description Overview:
From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, the Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes four orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health experts, physical therapists, and workers' compensation specialists. Our skilled providers can treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Monday through Friday to meet our patient's needs
Responsibilities:
Accurately enter patient information into registration system. Perform quality control checks on registration data. Assist patients complete necessary registration. Keep work area clean, organized and professional. Receptive to feedback and strives for continuous improvement. Flexible and adaptable to change. Collect co-pays and other payments from patients. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications One year clerical experience and six months healthcare experience are required. Prefer medical office, insurance, hospital or computer experience. Keyboard skills accurate 30 wpm. Expertise in customer relations, telephone skills and computer applications. Education High School Education or equivalent. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required. Experience Six months clerical and customer service experience required. Some computer experience required. Medical and insurance experience required. Must be able to type a minimum of 30 WPM. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Compensation/Benefits $16.07-$26.25/hr depending on previous work experience.
