The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, coordinate resources, and keep production moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Create and manage production schedules based on customer orders, demand, and available resources. Work closely with production, purchasing, and engineering to coordinate materials, equipment, and staffing needs. Review production progress and make scheduling changes when priorities, demand, or resource availability change. Organize production priorities according to customer delivery requirements and follow up on delayed orders. Address scheduling challenges, material shortages, and capacity constraints that could affect production. Keep Sales and Customer Service informed of order progress and anticipated delivery dates. Assist with determining realistic delivery and promise dates for customer orders. Review production information and prepare reports to monitor order status, performance, and scheduling trends. Keep production schedules, work orders, and inventory information current and accurate. Maintain ERP system information related to forecasts, inventory, lead times, and expected deliveries. Look for opportunities to improve scheduling practices and help increase overall production efficiency. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 2+ years of experience in production scheduling or planning, preferably within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with machining, fabrication, welding, paint/powder coating, or assembly is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with experience using ERP/MRP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments. Strong time management skills with the ability to organize work, shift priorities, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
