Job Description

Job Overview:
We are a school transportation company that focuses on serving students with special needs. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. You will review and maintain all calendars of school our depot currently services to create our operating schedule. The Scheduler will then assign drivers to shifts, ensuring all shifts are covered on a daily basis. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multitask as well as take the appropriate action. Critical-thinking and problem-solving are musthave skills for this role! This position will be responsible for ensuring that all of our students get to their destinations safely and on time, and that drivers are clearly communicated to.
Scheduler Tasks:
(Including, but not limited to, the following) Create the schedule for all runs based on school calendars. Assign company drivers to all routes to ensure all runs have been covered. Lead the Dispatch Team to ensure all runs are covered, all drivers are staffed, and all clients are positive and effectively communicated with. The ability and flexibility to be a back-up driver as needed is required. Communicate any changes and/or new runs to dispatch/drivers/aides with any change/new run given no matter how small the change may be. This also requires a call being made to the student's guardian(s) to alert them of said change(s). Alert management of daily call offs and/or no shows, late employees, etc.

Adhere to your hours as scheduled, including team-effort on break(s) and lunch. Proper use of company equipment. Refrain from usage of personal cell phones and devices while on the clock.
