Job Description

Job Summary A manufacturing company in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Material Control Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity supporting production, inventory planning, and material availability. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented supply chain professional who understands how accurate material planning keeps manufacturing operations running smoothly. The Material Control Specialist will work closely with suppliers, carriers, logistics partners, production teams, and internal supply chain groups to ensure the right parts are available in the right quantities at the right time. This is a strong opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with collaborative teams, supportive leadership, and exposure to continuous improvement, SAP, MRP, supplier performance, and production control activities. Key Responsibilities Plan and monitor material requirements to support production schedules and prevent shortages. Manage inventory levels while balancing production needs and minimizing excess or obsolete materials. Perform material planning, data processing, and inventory updates within SAP and other planning systems. Support new part introductions, part run-in/run-out, and engineering or technical changes. Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve material availability and delivery issues. Analyze inventory, supplier performance, and supply data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

$30.00 to $43.00 per year.
