Job Summary An established transportation company in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Operations & Scheduling Coordinator to support daily operations, trip scheduling, driver coordination, documentation, and communication for scheduled charter transportation services. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an organized administrative or operations professional who enjoys keeping schedules on track, maintaining accurate records, and helping a busy team run smoothly. This onsite role offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, a collaborative operations environment, and the opportunity to work closely with drivers, management, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduled trips, maintain accurate trip details, and ensure schedules are complete and up to date.
  • Assign and communicate driver schedules based on availability, qualifications, trip requirements, and company guidelines.
  • Prepare, organize, distribute, and review trip documentation, driver paperwork, itineraries, and operational records.
  • Monitor schedule changes and communicate updates promptly to drivers, management, and internal teams.
  • Assist with driver onboarding, orientation, meetings, training coordination, and safety communications.
  • Provide general administrative and operations support while helping maintain compliance with transportation procedures. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $18.00 per hour.
  • Job Type:
    Temp-to-Hire.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Work Location:
    Onsite in Spartanburg, SC. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Coordinate transportation schedules, driver assignments, trip details, and operational documentation.
  • Support daily dispatch, routing, scheduling, and communication needs in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • Maintain organized records, review paperwork for accuracy, and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
  • Assist management and internal teams with driver coordination, meetings, onboarding, and compliance-related support.
  • 1 or more years of experience in administrative support, scheduling, operations coordination, customer service, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with schedules, records, documents, and computer systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete time-sensitive tasks accurately.
  • Strong judgment and ability to communicate effectively when plans or schedules change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications
  • Transportation, logistics, dispatch, routing, or scheduling experience is a plus.
  • CDL is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience coordinating drivers, field staff, service schedules, or operational paperwork is helpful.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced administrative or operations support role is preferred.
