Full Job Description Medical Scheduler Location:
Allen, TX Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team in Allen, TX. The Medical Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing provider schedules, and ensuring efficient use of clinical resources to provide an excellent patient experience. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coordinate with medical providers, patients, and other staff to optimize appointment availability. Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to appointments. Communicate appointment details and any necessary preparation instructions to patients. Manage appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and follow-up reminders. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes as needed. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve scheduling workflows. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Work Environment This position is based in our Allen, TX office and involves working in a professional healthcare setting. The role requires frequent interaction with patients, medical staff, and administrative personnel.
